Kids out of school, stuck on community, working from home, no footy: Coronavirus has been a challenge for Territorians. Yet Covid-19 is not the first virus to play havoc with the laid-back Northern Territory lifestyle. Many have died from disease outbreaks in the past, particularly in the bush. For at least a century, closed borders, churches and pubs, self-isolation and social distancing have all been used to halt the spread of diseases here.
