Lunchtime at the Library returns for the 2026 NT Writers Festival, serving up two engaging lunchtime sessions to sink your teeth into!

Join two seasoned artists to discuss a lifetime of activism and art. Juno Gemes’ Until Justice Comes is a powerful collection of photographs of the social history of First Nations resistance and fight for self-determination. Writer, curator and author of Windows and Mirrors Djon Mundine’s work has shaped Australian understanding of Aboriginal art, history and sovereignty. Don’t miss this brilliant conversation about artistic practice and social change.

Candid Enigma: The Artful Adventures of Andrew Hau Ewing, is the long-awaited art biography of the late Andrew Hau Ewing, an Australian visual artist and curator who was a pioneering voice in challenging racist stereotypes of gay Asian identity. Author and dishevel books publisher, Maurice O’Riordan, talks with playwright Sandra Thibodeaux and comic artist Ifa Shiddiq about the richness of storytelling and art that flows between the Top End and Southeast /East Asian cultures.
