Description

Come on a magical, musical storytelling adventure with Darwin Symphony Orchestra!

Children will love creating stories to music and listening to a beautiful picture book brought to life with a live string quartet!

This event will feature a reading of Brother Moon, written by Maree McCarthy Yoelu, accompanied by original music by NT Composer Netanela Mizrahi. Everyone can join in with a creative drawing activity with illustrator Samantha Fry.

Children will enjoy a performance of Mendelssohn and Beethoven string quartets, and write a creative story or poem, or draw a scene inspired by the music.

This event will conclude with a choose-your-own musical adventure as audience members work together to create a story that will be translated before their eyes into a musical soundtrack by our talented string quartet.

This event is suitable for children aged 4 –10.

Approximate duration: 40 minutes

Two session times available: 9:30am & 11.00am

Prices: $16.64 adults, $6.20 children. Book your tickets via Eventbrite.
