Make your own Zine!

The final Zine making workshops with our 2018 creative in residence Cj Fraser-Bell are coming! 

Last year Cj delved into Library collections to bring us zine themes including the wonderful world of tourism, the beauty of maps and nature and spooky NT tales. For her final zine making sessions Cj looks at Darwin: 150 years and she is still fossicking the collection for a zine theme to go out with! 

For each session Cj prepares a unique selection of materials drawing from the Library collections to help your zine making efforts, or you can bring along your own ideas. Free printing (zine making gold!).

What is a zine? According to Wikipedia, “A zine is a small-circulation self-published work of original or appropriated texts and images, usually reproduced via photocopier. Zines are either the product of a single person, or of a very small group and are popularly photocopied into physical prints for circulation. A fanzine is a non-professional and non-official publication produced by enthusiasts of a particular cultural phenomenon for the pleasure of others who share their interest.”

Please note: Standard Parliament House screening procedures will be in effect. Cutting implements will be available inside the workshop for shared use.
