Join us in celebrating our nurses for International Nurses’ Day with the launch of Janie Mason’s book Pride and Revelation: Stories from Charles Darwin University Nursing Museum.
Through the story of the Nursing Museum’s 35 year history, this publication shines a light on the experiences of nurses in the NT through times of threat and catastrophe.
Well illustrated with historic photographs and pictures of memorabilia and objects from the Museum’s collection, an eclectic mix of stories provides a sense of wonder and pride in the achievements of the Territory’s nurses.
Speakers at this event include Professor Karen Francis, Dean of Nursing & Midwifery at CDU, Ms Mish Hill, Chief Nursing & Midwifery Officer, NT Health, and Mr Jared Archibald, Curator of Territory History, Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory.
The book will be available for purchase. Bookings are required
