The Borderlands Project Fundraising Launch: Creating a Northern Territory Literary Journal Event

Join Borderlands for the project and fundraising launch of the Northern Territory’s very own literary journal! 

The Borderlands project is a collaboration between Northern Territory writers and researchers Glenn Morrison, Raelke Grimmer and Adelle Sefton-Rowston to create the Northern Territory’s very own literary journal to showcase Territory storytelling by Territory storytellers.

Phase 1 of the project to research and scope the viability of launching a Northern Territory journal was undertaken in 2018 with the support of grants from ArtsNT and Charles Darwin University. The project is now in Phase 2, to create pilot online and print editions of the journal. Phase 2 is supported by the Regional Arts Fund and Creative Partnerships Australia through their MATCHLab program. 

As part of the collaborator's participation in MATCHLab, they are running a fundraising campaign to raise funds to pay the journal’s contributors industry rates for their work. Creative Partnerships Australia will match every donation they receive before May 31st dollar for dollar, up to $10,000. The online pilot will be published in September 2019, with a print pilot to follow in 2020. 

Award-winning Darwin playwright Mary Anne Butler will be the special guest speaker, and Raelke and Adelle will share their research and progress towards creating the journal so far and launch their fundraising campaign.
