Description

Writing in the Sand by Yothu Yindi’s authorised biographer Matt Garrick, is the epic story of one of Australia’s most original bands and how their track ‘Treaty’ gave voice to Indigenous Australia’s hard-fought struggle for recognition.

The launch event will feature introductory speeches by special guests, a panel discussion hosted by ABC Radio Darwin’s Mikaela Simpson, and a very special musical performance by members of Yothu Yindi. Book sales and author signings will take place at the end of the formalities.

So please join us on Larrakia land at the Northern Territory Library (located inside Parliament House) for this evening to pay tribute to one of the greatest NT bands of all time. Hear about their story so far, and what’s still to come, on Wednesday 17 November at 5.30pm.

Bookings essential via Eventbrite. Places are limited.
