Book Launch: 'Home Cooking from Around the World - Red Cross Connected Women NT's Recipes Collection'

The book launch ‘Home Cooking from Around the World – Red Cross Connected Women NT’s Recipes Collection’ is a very significant event because it symbolises how the Connected Women program has helped migrant women make connections, learn new skills and thrive in their new home in Australia. Most of the women have moved thousands of kilometres and arrived here in the Territory not knowing anyone and speaking little English.

The Connected Women program is a place where they can feel safe, supported and valued while learning from First Nations Elders and Traditional Owners about the rich history of the land on which they now live.
