Finalists Announced | 2026 Northern Territory History Book Award

Library & Archives NT is thrilled to announce the finalists for the 2026 Northern Territory History Book Award. 

Congratulations to Martin Thomas for Clever Men and Julie Marcus for Sex and Savagery in the Good Colony. These outstanding works explore pivotal moments in our history, uncover new perspectives on the Territory's past, and deepen our understanding of the people and events that have shaped the Northern Territory.

The winner will be announced at the Northern Territory Writing Awards Ceremony on Wednesday 23 September, where the NT History Book Award will be presented alongside the NT Literary Awards and NT Book Awards in a celebration of the Territory's finest published and unpublished writers.
