Entries are now open for the 2026 Northern Territory History Book Award!

The Northern Territory History Book Award celebrates the most significant work on Northern Territory history published in the previous year. Entry is free, and in 2026 the winner will receive $3,500, with $1,500 awarded to a highly commended title.

Eligible books must explore Northern Territory history, be written in English or one of the Northern Territory’s First Nations languages, be available for general sale, and have been published between 1 January and 31 December 2025.

Entries close at midnight, Monday 13 April 2026.
