Darwin Fringe Festival: Zine Workshop
Congratulations to the Darwin Fringe Festival team on their recent launch of the 2018 program. Showcasing work from every genre - from cabaret to comedy, dance to art and physical theatre to spoken word, there really is something for everyone.
The Northern Territory Library is proud to be a part of the Festival as we open our doors for the free Zine Fair Workshop on Wednesday 11 July. Assistant Director Engagement and Collections, Emma Darby says having the zine workshop at the Library has a wonderful synergy with the work the Library does in collecting NT stories. Zines are immediate, tangible and responsive to what is happening in the world, and the NT, at that particular time.
“We already have some zines in the Northern Territory Library collection and we hope that this workshop contributes to the growth of this collection.
“Everyone is invited to get their creative juices flowing and come along to cut, paste, write, draw and make use of our photocopier on Wednesday 11 July from 5pm." says Emma Darby.
The Darwin Fringe Festival will be holding the Zine Fair on Sunday 15 July at Civic Park.
The Library is pleased to support local emerging artists at the Darwin Fringe Festival.
