Coming Up | 2026 NT Writing Awards Ceremony

For the first time, the Northern Territory’s three premier literary awards, the NT Book Awards, NT History Book Award and NT Literary Awards, come together to celebrate outstanding literary talent and excellence in published and unpublished writing.

Held in Darwin, with a satellite event in Alice Springs and streamed online, the NT Writing Awards bring the Territory together this September to celebrate the diverse voices, stories and histories that shape our literary landscape.

Writers, readers, publishers, historians and storytelling enthusiasts are invited to join us for an evening celebrating the people and works at the heart of the NT’s vibrant literary community.
