Alice Springs Digital Access to Collections workshop
As a member of Galleries, Libraries, Archives and Museums Peak (GLAM Peak) the Northern Territory Library is proud to be participating in the Digital Access to Collections workshop taking place in Alice Spring this June.
The free two-day workshop, being run as part of a National roadshow, is an opportunity for organisations in regional locations to learn about digitisation and the provision of digital access of collections.
Northern Territory Library Director, Patrick Gregory says "Our team are really looking forward to participating in this workshop. It is a great opportunity for all collecting groups to get together, learn new skills, learn from each other and to support each other as collecting groups."
"We know there are numerous organisations based in and around Alice Springs who want to preserve their collections so that their rich history can be accessible to future generations. In that mission we all share a common goal."
Staff and volunteers from small- to medium-sized non-metropolitan collecting organisations, including galleries, libraries, archives, museums, indigenous keeping places, sporting clubs, returned services clubs and historical societies are all encouraged to attend.
